Vacation

Hi everyone, just a heads-up —

I’m going away on a week’s vacation starting tomorrow –  where I won’t be able to sim or make updates (not bringing my laptop along!)

Gasp, I wonder how long I can go without, before I feel the withdrawal effects?

So, like I’ve said, I’ve joined this writing challenge and yada yada yada … Just want some feedback if possible 🙂

Challenge #2

Challenge #2

Rules:

Study this picture for 5 minutes and then write for 15 minutes about it. This is very freeform – you can describe it, write a scene between the characters, etc. But we should be able to see a link between the picture and your writing, whether in tone, characters or genre.
– Your piece should be in the third person, she, he etc.
– You have 20 minutes to write this. Either time yourself with an alarm or phone, or use the useful link by FurryPanda on page 1.
– You must have a minumum of 500 words, although you shouldn’t go over 2000.
– Copy and paste straight onto this thread. Do not edit or rewrite your piece. Spelling, grammar and punctuation can be revised but without a dictionary and such.

Nervous Subject was not having a good morning. He’d woken up stiff and aching all over. AND he was still at a loss on what to do next.

“Criquette” is single-handedly changing my neighborhood view …

I’ve been downloading Criquette’s neighborhood objects collection from Modthesims like mad. She is one talented lady – I swear – Maxis/EA should’ve hired her for Sims 3.

I visited her journal over at Modthesims and I’m – as usual – super-impressed with her latest project. Now, she’s giving us “arched bridges.”

And I can’t wait for her “Bus Transit and Terminal Set” to go public.

ETA : The Bus Terminal is now available for download here. I hope the bridges are up next!

ETA 2: It has come to my attention that Criquette is a dude and not a dudette as I had thought. Sorry!

Disclaimer: This post is not about my sims or my hood. I just wanted to spread the word. I’ve joined this writing challenge at the Sims 2 Community. If you like to write and want to join us, click here. I had a lot of fun doing it.

Guidelines – by Gemmareno

– Your piece must be written in the first person narrative, i.e. me, we etc.
– You have 15 minutes to write this. Either time yourself with an alarm or phone, or use the useful link by FurryPanda
– You must have a minumum of 500 words, although you shouldn’t go over 2000.
– Copy and paste straight onto this thread. Do not edit or rewrite your piece. Spelling, grammar and punctuation can be revised but without a dictionary and such.”

I used “Write or Die” from Dr. Wicked to write my contribution. It’s really cool –

“Write or Die is a web application that encourages writing by punishing the tendency to avoid writing. Start typing in the box. As long as you keep typing, you’re fine, but once you stop typing, you have a grace period of a certain number of seconds and then there are consequences.”

So, anyway, I did it – ha ha – and I’d like to share my contribution here, too. Don’t hold your punches – any feedback / criticism is welcome!

The Telephone Call

“So, does it ever bother you that I’m half-alien?” Johnny Smith teasingly asked Ophelia as they ate dinner together.
